Have you ever wanted to sing the Office of Compline with the Pittsburgh Compline Choir? You will have your chance on Sunday, April 8, 2018 during COMPLINE PLUS. Choir alumni, friends of Compline, choral singers and Compline enthusiasts are warmly invited to join the choir as guest singers for COMPLINE PLUS. We will be singing some of the most beloved pieces in the choral repertoire including John Stainer’s “God So Loved the World,” Charles Villiers Stanford’s “Beati quorum via,” as well as a setting of Psalm 133 by Founding Director John L. Becker and of the Lord’s Prayer by Georgeanne Kovac. Links to PDFs of the Stainer and Stanford appear below. If you have not previously sung these masterpieces, you may wish to take a look at the scores before the April 8 rehearsal.

Compline Plus participants and the Pittsburgh Compline Choir will meet in Heinz Chapel at 6:15 p.m. sharp on Sunday, April 8 in the chancel at Heinz Chapel to rehearse the music, then sing the Office of Compline at 8:00 p.m.

All music will be provided on April 8. Please dress all in black. Very important: Please RSVP to by Monday, April 2–the day after Easter– to Mark Boyle at maboyle@setonhill.edu letting us know you’re coming, so we know how many copies of music to prepare.
